Sue Carruthers is a painter who captures Australian Flora and fauna in acrylics.

Sue is based in Boonah, in the beautiful Scenic Rim in Queensland. 

​

 

Sue is fortunate to wake up to sweeping mountain views and rolling pastures every day. Australian nature inspires her art, especially the native flowers and birds.

Sue's observation of nature is depicted in detail in her paintings, while her use of vibrant colours individualises her work. Acrylic paints are Sue's preferred medium of choice.

After retiring and now living the ‘tree change’ life in the country, Sue began volunteering at the Boonah Art Gallery, serving on the committee for many happy years. She resumed painting again and exhibited in member’s exhibitions.

Sue finds painting is a wonderful pastime and enjoys capturing the Australian bush on canvas and sharing her art with others.
